A new year is a new opportunity, and opportunity to be kind, to be gentle, to listen to ourselves and to tune in to our truth
A new year is often a time to pause and reflect on how we wish to be in the world. Yet New Year’s is so often marketed as a time for massive change: new diets, fitness regimes, suddenly achieving all the things that have been waiting in the background for attention.
This is the year I will stop smoking, be a good mum, give up social media, pray for hours each day, write my book, run a marathon… The list can feel endless — and, I believe, fairly unhelpful.
I’m all for setting intentions and having goals to move towards. But as many of you have heard me say before, we are each working with our own unique curriculum. Our goals, desires, and paths are individual too. And yet the messaging around us suggests we should all be getting fitter, dieting, reaching new career heights, and constantly setting higher standards for ourselves.
When we are truly working towards more peace, kindness, fulfilment, and authenticity, this kind of pressure is rarely supportive.
So, if you would like to move towards your authentic truth with more ease and gentleness — with more kindness and love — and to meet your goals while being more present in the world, this meditation is for you.
It of offered by donation – please message me and I’ll send you the recording.
