Rooted, Radiant, Rising — A Solstice Meditation

Rocamadour

I am home! And I love being home. My Cancer Moon balances out my Sagittarius beautifully — and while I truly love adventure, there really is nothing like sleeping in my own bed again!

Over the past month I had the privilege of travelling with Raym (a shaman, friend and teacher of mine) to the south of France. This really was an exceptional, once in a lifetime experience. While away, I was able to heal some family ancestral wounding, as well as awaken more deeply to the love of the divine feminine through the lineage of the Sisterhood of the Rose and Mary Magdalene. I am beginning to see the interconnectedness of this path with my path of devotion to Narayani — all paths truly do lead back to the Goddess.

Serving the Goddess feels like it is my life’s work — perhaps even the work of all my lifetimes. And I am learning that this service doesn’t have to look big or grand. It isn’t separate from my life as a mother, a lover, a friend, a project manager — it is all of these things. It is simply a pathway to being more love in the world.

This Thursday’s meditation falls just a few days before the Summer Solstice — the pagan celebration of midsummer, and the longest day of the year. This ancient festival marks the very peak of the sun’s power, the moment when light triumphs most fully over darkness, before the gentle turning of the wheel back towards the darker months ahead. It has been celebrated for thousands of years, from the stones of Stonehenge to fire festivals across the world, as a time of abundance, vitality, joy and deep gratitude for the gift of life itself.

It feels like the perfect moment to celebrate our tribe, our sense of belonging, and to rejoice together in the gift of sunshine, energy and life. The sun is the central theme of the solstice, and this week we will work with its radiant energy to cleanse, to clear, and to come home to more love and light than we have ever held before. ☀️

If you would like to experience the weaving of the practical with the mystical — learning how to connect more deeply to the Goddess so that your life becomes ever more blessed with love, light and joy — then I look forward to seeing you on Zoom this Thursday at 7.30pm.
