There are many signs that you have been here before, perhaps many times! I believe we have all been here before, and some souls have been here many many times. In fact, the more I do this work, the more I realise that we are all everything, therefore if you are an old soul chances are you’ve had beautiful lives and challenging ones. While our personality and physical body is new in every life, our soul is not and we carry the karma (the balance of good and bad) from previous lives with us.
In this blog post, we’ll explore the concept of being an old soul and highlight signs that may indicate whether you are an old soul.
One of the key attributes I see in old souls is a desire to help others, we help others in so many ways, through parenting, caring, teaching, healing, being kind, and having the ability to hold empathy and compassion.
Old souls may possess a heightened sense of empathy and compassion. Do you find you easily tune into the emotions and experiences of others? Often offering support, guidance, or a listening ear? For old souls, the understanding of the human condition stems from a profound awareness of the interconnectedness of all beings.
Old souls may also have a profound sense of Inner Wisdom
Old souls often have a profound sense of inner wisdom that goes beyond their years. Do you possess a deep understanding of life’s complexities and a natural ability to see the bigger picture? Do you exhibit a sense of maturity, introspection, and a yearning for deeper meaning in life? This may be a desire for a spiritual life, an interest in astrology, or a yearning to understand yourself or humanity at a greater depth.
This leads us to another sign you may be an old soul
Old souls have an inherent desire for personal growth and spiritual development. Are you drawn to philosophical, metaphysical, or esoteric teachings? or seeking to expand your knowledge and understanding of the world? Do you engage in practices such as meditation, journaling, or seeking guidance from spiritual teachers to nourish your soul?
Do you have an innate appreciation for the simple things in life?
Do you love to spend time in nature, and cherish quiet moments? Do you derive joy from the little pleasures such as looking at flowers, or watching people walk by? Do you find material possessions and external achievements do not fulfill you in a way experiences and connections do? This may be a sign you are an old soul.
There may also be a desire for solitude and reflection
You may find you need solitude as a means to recharge and find inner peace. You may be introspective by nature, finding solace in self-reflection and contemplation. You may value your alone time and often use it for creative pursuits, spiritual practices, or exploring your passions such as an appreciation of arts, music, and culture
However not all old souls are naturally introverted, many old souls are extroverts but also appreciate art, music, and reading as a way to nourish their souls, and yet still have the desire to be social and enjoy company
Many old souls have a feeling that they have been here before, you may experience Deja Vu or have a skill that comes very naturally or innate knowing around certain areas of life.
