This week we continue our healing journey through the chakras. So far we’ve worked with the base and sacral, then the navel, and last week the solar plexus. I was so delighted when I realised that heart chakra healing falls just two days before Valentine’s Day.
Valentine’s Day—whether you’re into big romantic gestures or not, whether you’re in a relationship or not—can stir up a lot of emotions. It’s a day when our stuff can get triggered: expectations, disappointments, loneliness. But it’s also a day that invites us to reflect on love—what love means to us, what it means to love ourselves.
For those of us on a journey of unconditional love, Valentine’s Day combined with heart chakra healing is a powerful opportunity. It invites us to look at where we may be blocking love, where we hide from it, and the fears that keep us in separation.
When we have a happy, healthy heart chakra, our focus shifts from what we can take to what we can give.
It allows us to experience meaningful relationships—with lovers, family, friends, pets, and, when truly open, with all beings.
Old grief and resentments can create blocks in the heart. I am so grateful we have energy healing to help release these and move us into more love.
The heart is also the doorway to a truly abundant life. Our crown chakra can only access energy in accordance with the energy held in our heart—a beautiful, sacred safety mechanism that ensures manifesting is always aligned with love.
Affirmations to support the heart chakra:
• It is safe for me to open my heart to love and be loved unconditionally
• I am love, I am light, I am loving awareness
• I open my heart to all the universe has to offer and embrace life fully
• I choose love and kindness today and every day
• I am so lovable, and I love myself with all my heart
