I’d Rather Be Living in Love Than Be Right

I'd rather live in love than be right

Ok so living in love is not as easy as it sounds, it’s easy to say this, to write a pretty tile, but how do we live it?

The first step is to acknowledge that we don’t know everything

The more my consciousness expands, the more I am aware of how small it is

We are mere mortals, each living out our own individuated piece of divinity

We can not be expected to understand everything

Even the greatest scientists know very little of how the universe works

The second step is to understand everybody has their own unique experience and their own unique truth

Just because their truth and my truth doesn’t match, doesn’t mean one is wrong, we are all meant to be different.

An in order to move into love, we need empathy

We need to step into the other person’s shoes and consider how they may feel

Consider for a moment, that right at this time, this is their truth, and how can we meet them there.

But as with everything, we can’t just do the work on the other, it all comes back to the self.

We need to start loving the unlovable, looking at all parts of ourselves, and asking “how can I love this part of me”?

And here, we need compassion, as much compassion as we can muster, because all parts of self are lovable, and when we bring these “shadow” parts into the light, we can start to live in love.

Wishing you all a love-filled day
