Can We Achieve Peace?

Peace on Earth can sound like a distant dream — a virtuous vision, often spoken about yet not always believed possible within our lifetime. Many people pray for peace, but fewer of us pause to consider the barriers to peace in our bodies, our homes, and our daily lives. Are we truly willing to do the inner work required to cultivate peace within ourselves?

The Most Unexpected Valentine’s Gift

“I received a call from reception—there was a delivery waiting for me. My heart raced. Who could possibly be sending me a Valentine’s gift? As I made my way down three flights of stairs and crossed the vast atrium, I tried to piece it together. When I arrived, I was handed the biggest, most breathtaking bouquet of red roses I had ever seen… but when I read the card, everything changed.”

NHS and The Zen Project : Spreading Wellness

This week, I’ve been in London offering micro wellness sessions to NHS staff as part of The Zen Project. Supporting the NHS and being part of The Zen Project is something I’m deeply grateful for. Helping those who dedicate themselves to supporting so many of us is incredibly important to me.

The Zen Project is a mobile wellbeing station offering guided micro Zen Sessions to workplaces, community spaces, and schools—all from a beautifully converted American school bus.

Gratitude An Amazing Hack to Happiness

Gratitude works because it taps into some fundamental laws of life—like the law of vibration and the law of attraction. Simply put, we attract more of what we put out. The more we feel grateful, the more good things flow to us. On the flip side, the things we don’t focus on just fade into the background.
It’s simple: where our awareness goes, energy flows.
When we focus on the positive, we naturally see and feel more positivity around us. And here’s the real benefit: gratitude doesn’t just make us feel good—it leads to joy. Being happy doesn’t automatically make us grateful, but being grateful absolutely makes us happy.

The Art of Wintering: Embracing the Winter Cycle

We all know winter as a season—something that happens outside of ourselves, as nature’s cycle turns. But how often do we think about ourselves as cyclical beings too? In today’s world, we’re surrounded by artificial light, rigid routines, and demanding lives. It’s been a long time since any of us, or our ancestors, lived in tune with the natural seasons. Yet, there’s a reason the Earth has its seasons, and there’s also a reason we, too, benefit from living more seasonally.

Come and be Nourished, a Special Retreat 13th – 15th September 24

For many people, especially those who aren’t used to taking time out at a retreat, you may be wondering why I am sending you this email and inviting you to come and be nourished.

I imagine that you often put yourself last, and have a long list of stuff you are always doing for others.  And that you have got used to living with a certain level of stress, that it has become fairly normal and you may not even remember what it’s like to feel stress-free.

However, stress causes a lot of harm to our physical and mental well-being, and affects our sleep and our relationships. You may be so stressed you feel like you are constantly firefighting your way through life, only to realise you’re a decade older than you thought and you no longer know who you are, what your hopes and dreams are or where you are going in life.

This may be normal but it’s not the way it has to be, it was the way I believed I’d spend my life, but then, let’s call it fate, came along and redirected me, and now I am passionate about helping others choose another way.

Why Do I Sometimes Feel Like I Am Back Where I Started?

The healing journey isn’t linear, which means that sometimes when we heal, we move forward and sometimes it may appear we are back where we started or going over old ground. As we move through the healing journey, we may open up old wounds, and parts of self that are ready to heal. This can feel uncomfortable, but it doesn’t mean we are going backward. In fact, for many of us, there comes a time when it is necessary to feel things that we haven’t been able to feel, or it hasn’t been safe to feel.
